Midjourney still wins on pure look. Default output has a considered aesthetic that competitors reach only with careful prompting, and the newer versions have largely fixed the anatomy and text problems that dated earlier releases. Control has improved with style references and editing tools, though it remains less precise than Photoshop-native workflows. No free tier and Discord roots make onboarding awkward, but the results justify it.
