Zapier's moat is integration breadth — if two SaaS tools exist, Zapier probably connects them. AI steps let you drop a model into the middle of a workflow to classify, summarise or draft without writing code. It is more expensive than self-hosted alternatives at volume, but the time saved on maintenance usually justifies it.
