Descript reframes editing as word processing, and for talking-head content that is dramatically faster than a timeline. Studio Sound rescues bad audio, filler-word removal cleans up rambling takes, and Overdub patches mistakes without rerecording. It is not a replacement for Premiere on complex edits, but for podcasts and screencasts it is the most efficient tool available.
